She won the Latin Grammy for Best Sertanejo Album in 2019 for her live album, Todos os Cantos, which featured recordings from all the capitals of Brazilian states. On November 5, 2021, Marília Dias Mendonça died at the age of 26 in a plane crash in Piedade de Caratinga, Minas Gerais, where she was scheduled to perform a concert.
