Shane McMahon made a surprising return to the ring, which thrilled the audience. However, things quickly took a turn for the worse when a significant botch occurred during his comeback, 

leading fans to call for Shane's retirement.During WrestleMania Night 2, an argument broke out between The Miz and Snoop Dogg, who were co-hosting the event. The Miz was angry because Snoop had booked him to face Pat McAfee at the last minute, and he had not been prepared for the match. However,

 Snoop had another big surprise in store, and he booked another match. Everything was going well until Shane McMahon jumped in the air, and The Miz ran under him while running the ropes. Unfortunately, Shane landed awkwardly and collapsed to the canvas, seemingly blowing out his knee.

The incident caused fans to take to social media, expressing their belief that Shane should retire from wrestling and not make any more significant returns that could potentially end in injuries.

Shane had entered the ring as The Miz's unexpected opponent at the SoFi Stadium in Hollywood. However, after his jump over The Miz, the 53-year-old landed awkwardly, leading to his collapse on the canvas. While he initially appeared to have injured his knee, WWE Chief Triple H later confirmed that Shane had suffered a torn quad.

Triple H stated, "Unfortunately, Shane tore his quad early in the match, and not that it was going to be a long match, probably, but going down with a torn quad."

Before the injury, McMahon had climbed into the ring after being put into another impromptu match by Miz's WrestleMania co-host and superstar rapper Snoop Dogg. The two were supposed to reignite their rivalry from WrestleMania 35, but the bout came to an abrupt halt following the injury 

WrestleMania 39 viewers were also treated to a surprise stunt involving KSI and Logan Paul, with KSI making a surprise appearance at ringside disguised as a PRIME mascot advertising their energy drink. At one point, KSI placed Rollins on the announce desk at ringside so that Paul could hit him with a Frogsplash off the top rope.

After the injury, Shane was seen being helped out of the ring while the match was resumed with Snoop getting involved. This was Shane's first in-ring appearance since the 2022 Royal Rumble match
