Chloe Bailey swarm

Chloë Bailey will be seen in a new light in the upcoming Prime Video show called Swarm, which is set to be released on Friday. Bailey, who is best known for starring alongside her sister, Halle, on the Freeform show Grown-ish, will be playing the character Marissa in Swarm. While Grown-ish deals with some mature topics, Swarm's first episode, "Stung," will see Bailey's character in even more adult situations, including scenes with her boyfriend Khalid, played by Damson Idris.

Although Bailey has been in the public eye for a long time as part of the R&B duo Chloe x Halle, and she's signed to Parkwood Entertainment (owned by Beyoncé), she prefers not to discuss any sex scenes she's filmed for Swarm. Instead, she focuses on what it means to be part of the latest creation by Donald Glover and Janine Nabers. Bailey enjoyed working with her co-stars, Fishback and Idris, on Swarm, saying that the two weeks she spent filming with them were "the best time of my life."

In Swarm, Fishback's character, Andrea "Dre" Greene, becomes increasingly obsessed with her favorite singer, and the show explores the darker lengths to which she will go to gain her favor. Bailey's character, Marissa, also has her own story to tell, which involves family ties that are both beautiful and toxic. As Marissa tries to break away from her toxic relationship with her sister, she transfers that dependency to Khalid, her boyfriend, without realizing it. Dre, who also has her own struggles, takes matters into her own hands after seeing how Khalid and the world have treated Marissa. Bailey believes that her character's fight for her sister is also an apology for how they left things between them.

It's worth noting that there is another show called Swarm, which features Dominique Fishback in a psychological horror series, but it is not related to the Prime Video show.
